Basic Countdown Timer App: Support & Privacy Policy
For support with the app, please email support@monodot.co.uk.
Privacy Policy
Countdown is designed so that your data stays yours. We do not collect, use, save, or have access to your personal data. There is no account to create, and nothing to log into.
What the app stores, and how
- Your countdowns (titles, times, colours, symbols and active state) are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled, they also sync privately through your own iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit service, so your iPhone and iPad stay up to date. This data lives in your iCloud, not on our servers, and we have no way to access it. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is described in Apple’s Privacy Policy.
- A random device identifier is generated and stored locally on each device, so a countdown’s alarm fires only on the device where it was armed. It contains no personal information, is never synced or transmitted to us, and is removed when you uninstall the app.
- Your purchase. If you buy Countdown Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple. The app stores only the fact that you own Pro, via Apple’s StoreKit. We never see your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
What we don’t do
- We run no servers and hold no copies of your data.
- The app contains no analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
- All notifications are scheduled locally on your device — we never send push notifications.
- We do not track you across apps or websites.
Deleting your data
Delete a countdown in the app and it is removed from your device and your iCloud sync. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored locally. You can also manage Countdown’s iCloud data in iOS Settings → (your name) → iCloud.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
